What is BPW?

Business and Professional Women (BPW) is an international organisation with branches in over 80 countries.

BPW Australia develops women’s potential at all levels through advocacy, mentoring, networking, skill building, education and economic empowerment programs and projects around the world.
        

We take action to achieve women’s equality in social, economic, community and political terms. We believe women deserve fair and just means to achieve education and ongoing learning, financial independence, political awareness and equality in all areas of life.

BPW connects and empowers women who aspire to do more.


BPW
is an organisation of like-minded women who meet together to share ideas, experiences and fellowship. Its key roles are:

  • Presenting the views of business and professional women to world organisations and has Consultative Status (category 1) to the United Nations.
  • Speaking on issues that affect women and the community in general. Developing leadership and management skills.
  • Educating women to gain knowledge that can be used to enhance the lifestyle of themselves and their families.
  • BPW has no race, colour, creed or language barriers.
